Linda Frederick, M.Ed., L.P.C.

Linda Federick, M.Ed., L.P.C.I received my license as a Professional Counselor for the State of Texas in 1997. My Practicum Internship included working with Hospice Care in the hospital setting, Patient Advocacy in the emergency room, working with couples and individuals as a Staff Therapist for the Samaritan Christian Counseling Center of Southeast Texas, counseling College Students and working as a counselor with Incarcerated Adults for the Jefferson County Correctional Facility. I attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Education specializing in Counseling and Development.

I have been in Private Practice since 2001. I am a Trained Mediator for the State of Texas, specializing in Adult and Family Mediation. I work with the Prepare/Enrich Program as a Facilitator and Director. I have educated over 100 couples in marriage preparation with Prepare/Enrich working with several local churches. My experience also includes training in the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP) which has been helpful working with relationships, couples, and families. As a Grief Counselor trained by Bo’s Place in Houston and Elijah’s Place in Beaumont, I have facilitated several grief support groups. I have worked with Elijah’s Place as a Parent facilitator for the children’s program, and have been a facilitator for long term support groups for mothers whose children died from suicide.

I have given many presentations to Churches, Universities, and for area wide conferences such as The Live Well Conference sponsored by Christus Hospitals of Southeast Texas. The topics included Boundaries, Self Esteem, Joyous Living, Forgiveness, Stress Management, Grief and Relationships.
